About Knowyourwell Septic: How the Referral Service Works

What Knowyourwell Septic Is

Knowyourwell Septic is a referral service for homeowners in Trenton, NJ and the Trenton area. We link people with independent septic and sewer providers. That is the whole job.

We do not pump tanks. We do not dig, repair or replace anything. The providers in our network do that work, and they run their own businesses.

Why This Site Exists

Septic and sewer trouble is stressful, and it is easy to overpay when you are rushed. Many people also wait too long because they do not know who to call.

This site is meant to cut down the searching. It also nudges you to compare written quotes early, while the problem is still small. Quote before commitment is the idea.

How Matching Works

You call or send a request. You tell us the basics: what you see, what you smell, and where you live. We then route your request to a provider in our network that serves your area.

Availability varies. Some providers can respond quickly, and others book out. Request a callback to check provider availability.

What We Ask of Providers

We ask providers in our network to do a few simple things:

• Explain the problem in plain words
• Give a written quote before work starts
• Be clear about what is included in the price
• Respect your decision if you say no

Providers are independent. They are responsible for their own licenses, insurance and work. Ask to see them if it matters to you.

Know Your Part

Some tasks are safe for a homeowner. You can learn where your tank lid is, keep records, spread out laundry loads and keep grease and wipes out of the drains.

Other tasks need pros. Pumping, locating buried lines, camera inspections, drainfield work and pipe repair all need special equipment and training. Tank gases are dangerous. Do not open a tank yourself.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not perform repairs or any field work
• We do not set provider prices
• We do not promise a result or a timeline
• We do not tell you what your insurance will pay

Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.

How We Are Paid

Using this site does not obligate you to hire anyone. Knowyourwell Septic may receive a referral fee from a provider when a request turns into a job. You pay the provider's quote, not a fee to us. We think you should know that.

Get Connected

If you have a problem now, reach out. If you only want to plan for the year ahead, that works too. A written quote is a useful budgeting tool.
